UQ Indigenous Commonwealth Scholarships (UQ-ICS)
The purpose of these Scholarships is to provide assistance with education or relocation/accommodation costs to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students.
Scholarships include the Indigenous Commonwealth Education Costs Scholarships (ICECS) and Indigenous Commonwealth Accommodation Scholarship (ICAS)

To be eligible for this Scholarship, you must:
- be an Australian citizen;
- be Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander;
- be enrolled in any coursework program in the applicable semester and;
- not be concurrently receiving assistance from another Commonwealth source for the same purpose.
You only need to submit one application to be considered for all scholarships in the Aspire Scholarship scheme, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Scholarship scheme and the UQ Residential Scholarship scheme.
You may need to upload supporting documentation that shows your:
- financial circumstances (Centrelink payments, ATO statements, family income, etc.);
- regional/rural/remote residency;
- Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander status;
- academic achievement and;
- community service and/or leadership achievements.
