Commonwealth Teaching Scholarships
The Commonwealth Teaching Scholarship Program provides up to $40,000 to new undergraduate and up to $20,000 to new postgraduate teacher education students.
In return for a scholarship, recipients need to teach in government schools or government-run early learning settings after finishing their degrees.

To be eligible for this Scholarship, you must:
- be an Australian citizen;
- be commencing an Australian accredited teaching degree;
- be starting your degree in the first semester or first study period of the year you apply for the Scholarship;
- study full-time for the duration of your Scholarship funding and;
- be willing to commit to teach in a government school or government-run early learning setting in Australia after you graduate.
