Indigenous Allied Health Scholarship

The Indigenous Allied Health Scholarship has been developed to encourage Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students to purse within the School of Allied Health. The Scholarship aims to increase Indigenous participation in Allied Health professions by supporting students from the beginning of their educational journey through to the successful completion of their degree.

 

A cash stipend of up to $2500 per semester will be provided for the normal expected duration of the degree.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for this Scholarship, you must:

  • be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent;
  • have selected Curtin University as a preference through TISC or apply directly to Curtin by the Scholarship closing date;
  • receive an eligible course offer at Curtin University in the applicable semester;
  • accept the course offer by the course offer lapse date;
  • enrol in at least 25 credits per study period and;
  • not be receipt of another scholarship from the same funding source or for the same purpose.


Eligible courses include:

Undergraduate:

  • Bachelor of Social Work;
  • Bachelor of Science (Occupational Therapy) (Honours);
  • Bachelor of Science (Speech Pathology) (Honours);
  • Bachelor of Science (Physiotherapy) (Honours);
  • Bachelor of Science (Exercise and Sport Science) or;
  • Bachelor of Science (Health Sciences) (Honours).

 

Postgraduate:

  • Master of Social Work (Qualifying);
  • Master of Occupational Therapy;
  • Master of Speech Pathology;
  • Master of Clinical Physiotherapy or;
  • Master of Clinical Exercise Physiotherapy.
