UQ Indigenous Australians Scholarship

This Scholarship was established in 2024 under the Queensland Commitment and UQef initiatives and maintained by the income from gifts from Dr Catherine Lawrence, Mr Geoff Lawrence and Alumni Friends.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for this Scholarship, you must:

  • be able to demonstrate financial need;
  • be Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and;
  • be enrolled in any undergraduate program in the applicable semester. 
How to Apply

You only need to submit one application to be considered for all scholarships in the Aspire Scholarship scheme, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Scholarship scheme and the UQ Residential Scholarship scheme. 

 

You may need to upload supporting documentation that shows your:

  • financial circumstances (Centrelink payments, ATO statements, family income, etc.);
  • Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander status;
  • academic achievement and;
  • community service and/or leadership achievements.
