Evelyn Boekemann Scholarship
This Scholarship is for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander in a certificate IV or diploma.
It provides up to $9000 per annum (up to $4500 per semester) for the standard duration of your vocational education program, and can continue into an associate or a bachelor's degree for the standard duration of that program.
For certificate IV and diploma students, the duration may include a sequence where you articulate from a certificate IV to a diploma, then to an advanced diploma within the same field.

To be eligible for this Scholarship, you must:
- be an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander;
- be an Australian citizen or permanent resident;
- be enrolling full-time in the applicable semester at RMIT in a certificate IV, diploma or advanced diploma in the applicable year;
- register with RMIT's Ngarara Willim Centre and provide documentation confirming that you are an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander by the scholarship application due date;
- be able to demonstrate financial hardship such as:
- receiving a government tested low income benefit or having a Centrelink Health Care Card
- be able to demonstrate circumstance/s which impact your ability to study such as:
- living with a disability, long-term medical condition or identify as neurodivergent;
- experience personal/family/social difficulties;
- be from an interstate or rural/regional area and moving/moved to Melbourne to study at RMIT;
- have previously/are currently living in foster/kinship care or are a ward of the state and/or;
- be from an under-represented background such as complete secondary school at a School Network Access Program school.
