Rio Tinto Indigenous Scholarship
This Scholarship was initially established in 2017 as part of the UQ Rio Tinto Education Partnership and is maintained by an annual gift from Rio Tinto Services Limited.
Preference may be given to an applicant studying in a field that is STEM-related or relevant to a career in mining, and past recipients of the Rio Tinto Awards for Indigenous Engineering Students or past participants in the InspireU program.

QLDTo be eligible for this Scholarship, you must:
be able to demonstrate financial hardship;
submit an application to the DVC(IE) by the closing date for applications;
be an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person an;
be enrolled in an Approved Program in the semester of award.
You only need to submit ONE application to be considered for ALL scholarships in the Aspire Scholarship scheme, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Scholarship scheme and the UQ Residential Scholarship scheme.
You may need to upload supporting documentation that shows your:
financial circumstances (such as Centrelink Statements, ATO notices, etc.);
Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander status;
academic achievements and;
community service and/or leadership achievements.
