Business School Indigenous Postgraduate Coursework Master's Scholarship

The purpose of this Scholarship is to encourage and support Indigenous domestic postgraduate coursework students of the Business School by making a contribution toward living costs.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for this Scholarship, you must:

  • be of Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent, identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, and are accepted as such by your community;
  • be a domestic student;
  • be enrolled or intend to enrol in a postgraduate coursework program in Business School and;
  • don't hold any other Scholarship that the Head of School considers to be similar.
How to Apply

You'll need to submit:

  • evidence of your Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander status
  • proof of previous work experience (e.g. CV/resume, employment statements or reference letters)
  • any other documents relevant to your application such as certificates or awards
  • a CV and two written statements (personal or professional)
  • a personal statement in video format of no more than 5 minutes answering the following:
    • your motivations for choosing to study a master's degree at UQ business school
    • your career aspirations
    • how you overcame a professional or personal obstacle
    • what you have done to make your community or work environment a better place
    • any additional information you want the scholarship panel to take into consideration (e.g. caring responsibilities, financial hardship, volunteering, or other similar non-paid work experiences or start-up roles)
