Francis Xavier Conaci Scholarship

Established in 2016 by ACU Vice Chancellor, Professor Greg Craven, this scholarship honours Francis Xavier Conaci, a young Aboriginal scholar who joined the Benedictines and travelled to Rome for his education. This scholarship will assist an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander ACU undertake study at the University's Rome campus.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for this Scholarship, you must:

  • must have commenced your current ACU course in the year prior or earlier;
  • be an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and;
  • be enrolled in the Justice and Change in a Global World unit in the applicable upcoming semester. 
How to Apply

Applicants will be required to provide the following as part of the application:
  • a written statement of approximately 400 words outlining why attending this unit in Rome is important for your education, and how it connects to your background, goals, culture and community and;
  • Upload Confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander status.
