You don't need an academic qualification to apply, in fact, you don't need to have completed school. You can do a Churchill Fellowship on any topic, provided there is a benefit to Australia and your community by you sharing your knowledge or skills.

Fellowships are offered to Australian citizens and permanent residents of Australia only;
Awards are granted to applicants over the age of 18 years. No upper age limit is prescribed but generally awards will be made to those whose major contribution to their field lies before them;
No academic or tertiary qualifications are required to apply. Please note that a Fellowship will not be awarded to enable the applicant to obtain/complete tertiary qualifications e.g. PhD;
A Churchill Fellowship will be awarded for the purpose of pursuing an overseas investigative project of a king that is not readily available in Australia.
