The Russell Woolf Broadcasting Scholarship

The Russell Woolf Broadcasting Scholarship has been generously donated in memory of Russell Woolf, an ABC journalist and ECU graduate. It provides a $10,000 scholarship, paid pro rata for part-time study, to a student from a marginalised group or community.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must be applying/auditioning for 2026 Semester 2 commencement in the Master or Graduate Diploma of News and Entertainment Media at ECU. If awarded, they must accept their enrolment offer in the required course and maintain an academic progression status of GREEN. Preference will be given to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

How to Apply

Students accepted for a 2026 Semester 2 place in the Master or Graduate Diploma of News and Entertainment Media course at ECU will be considered for the scholarship. The successful recipient will be advised when they receive their offer from ECU.

The scholarship is open to domestic applicants and the $10,000 amount is paid pro rata for part-time study.
