Applicants must be Australian Citizens identifying as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander.

Eligible Programs:
Doctor of Philosophy;
Professional Doctorate,;
Master of Philosophy;
Master by Research;
Master by Coursework;
Graduate Diploma.
How to Apply

No application is required. Applicants who identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander during their application for admission will be automatically considered. Before lodging an application, applicants applying for admission to a coursework program should first check the closing date of the program, as the closing date for some coursework programs may be earlier than the scholarship closing date. Applicants for a research program are strongly encouraged to contact the relevant Graduate Studies Convener or a prospective supervisor, prior to lodging an application, to discuss the proposed research topic and related matters.

Further Information

Applicants for a research scholarship must hold a Bachelors degree with at least upper second-class honours, or equivalent prior studies including some research work. Applicants for a coursework scholarship must hold at least a Bachelors degree and should also complete the Postgraduate Research Course and/or Scholarship application form, as well as the Postgraduate Coursework Application Form for Local Students. Some ANU coursework programs require application through the University Admissions Centre.
