LK Law Scholarship Program

The purpose of the LK Law Scholarship is to empower and support two master’s student to undertake research work within the Wardliparingga Aboriginal Health Equity Theme at the South Australian Health and Medical Research Institute (SAHMRI). This $10,000 scholarship offers a unique and flexible placement opportunity to work alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander researchers, fostering collaboration and enhancing cultural understanding. Tailored to the recipient’s interests and studies, the scholarship provides the chance to engage in innovative research projects that contribute to meaningful outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Wardliparingga, offers a flexible and culturally respectful working environment. Awarded to each recipient for one year, this experience will enable the recipient to gain invaluable skills, broaden their professional networks, and help advance knowledge that respects and uplifts Indigenous voices.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
- Identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander and be able to provide Confirmation of Aboriginality or Torres Strait Islander identity;
- Be living in South Australia;
- Be a postgraduate (not PhD) student in a clinical or non-clinical health-related field, such as health services/program management or administration, public health, community health, environmental health, social work or health policy;
- Be able to provide proof of enrolment and;
- Have completed at least 2 semesters of postgraduate study and be able to provide evidence of attainment.
 
You must have a minimum study load of 0.5 EFTSL (equivalent to half-time study).
