Indigenous Student Success Program (ISSP) - Education Costs and Accommodation Costs Scholarships

A UniSQ scholarship program offering Education Costs and Accommodation Costs support for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in undergraduate or postgraduate coursework study.

 

Scholarships are awarded in two categories:

  • Education Costs Scholarships: to assist students with the cost of tertiary education

  • Accommodation Costs Scholarships: to support students with costs associated with relocating from a regional or remote area of study on-campus.

 

Students may be eligible for both Scholarships, if you are awarded both, you will be paid the same rate for each Scholarship (a total of $8000). You can only be awarded these scholarships once per academic year.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for this Scholarship, you must:

  • be a domestic student currently residing in Australia;

  • be an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person of Australia;

  • be commencing or continuing your studies at UniSQ in any undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program in the applicable study period

    • continuing students must have a current GPA of at least 3.0;

  • be enrolled in a minimum of one study unit in the applicable study period and;

  • have a low-to-middle annual household income.

Those applying for the Accommodation Costs Scholarship must also:

  • have relocated from a regional or remote area in order to undertake on-campus study.
