BAE Systems Australia First Nations Scholarship in Engineering

BAE Systems are proud to support this Scholarship for Indigenous students studying engineering at RMIT University. 

This Scholarship is to support first-year or second-year Indigenous Bachelor of Engineering students for up $10,000 per year for up to four years. 

This scholarship is for:

Open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Students Only

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for this Scholarship, you must:

  • identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander;
  • be an Australian citizen;
  • be enrolling full-time (or part time with extenuating circumstances) in the applicable semester in your first or second year in one of the following programs (single or double degree):
    • Bachelor of Engineering (Adv Manufacturing and Mechatronics) (Honours)
    • Bachelor of Engineering (Aerospace Engineering) (Honours)
    • Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical Engineering)
    • Bachelor of Engineering (Electronic and Computer Systems Engineering) or
    • Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical Engineering);
  • consider opportunities to complete professional experience, an industry placement and final year project as a part of the engineering curriculum at BAE Systems Australia; for education purposes and to support competency development and course accreditation requirements and;
  • be eligible to apply for and hold an Australian Government Security Clearance.
