Indigenous Genomics Scholarship

The Indigenous Genomics Scholarship Program supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to complete either:

  • Master of Genetic Counselling (MGC) or;

  • Master of Genomics and Health (MGH).

 

The Scholarship is tailored to each student and designed to reduce barriers to study, strengthen cultural safety and support successful transition into professional practice. This Scholarship offers flexible financial assistance based on individual circumstances and may include:

  • Full or partial course fee payment

  • Accommodation support (including relocation if required)

  • Travel costs, including regional and remote travel

  • Education expenses

  • Conference attendance 

  • Academic support and mentoring

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for this Scholarship, you must:

  • identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander;

  • have completed or working towards completion of Bachelor's degree or;

  • be willing to undertake necessary upskilling (supported by the Scholarship).

 

Scholarships are awarded based on potential to succeed in the course and commitment to contributing to community health outcomes.
