Don and Tina Hamson Indigenous Scholarship
The purpose of this Scholarship is to encourage and support Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students to achieve educational success through completing studies at UQ, and to support greater representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in higher education.

To be eligible for this Scholarship, you must:
- be able to demonstrate financial hardship;
- be an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person;
- be a domestic student in accordance with the University's Fee Policy and;
- be enrolled full-time at the University of Queensland.
You only need to submit one application to be considered for all scholarships in the Aspire Scholarship scheme, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Scholarship scheme and the UQ Residential Scholarship scheme.
You may need to upload supporting documentation that shows your:
- financial circumstances (Centrelink payments, ATO statements, family income, etc.);
- Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander status;
- academic achievement and;
- community service and/or leadership achievements.
