This scholarship was established in 2016, as a tangible memorial to Jodie Reid, a 1996 ACU Nursing Graduate and Centaur Medalist, who died in 2004, aged 27, after suffering from Diabetes mellitus for 25 years.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
  • be commencing or continuing an ACU course in the applicable semester;
  • be Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander;
  • be enrolled in Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Midwifery or Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Paramedicine;
  • participate or intent to participate in a professional or personal activity in a rural or remote-based community;
  • demonstrate financial hardship and;
  • currently live in, or have relocated from, a regional, rural or remote area of Queensland.
