If you’re an Aboriginal person currently working as a registered nurse or registered midwife in the NSW public health system, a postgraduate scholarship of up to $10,000 is available to support your postgraduate study and help with educational expenses.

One NSW Health Rhodanthe Lipsett Midwifery Postgraduate scholarship, to the value of $15,000, is offered to an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander registered midwife employed by NSW Health. Full registration to the 2024 Congress of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurses and Midwives conference (CATSINaM) is also included.
The scholarship will support your postgraduate studies and develop the skills most relevant to your midwifery area of practice.
Rhodanthe Lipsett OAM was an Australian midwife and author. She was a passionate advocate for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and strongly committed to increasing the Aboriginal midwifery workforce.
The scholarship is offered by NSW Health in partnership with the Rhodanthe Lipsett Indigenous Midwifery Trust and the Congress of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Nurses and Midwives.

The KPMG Indigenous Australian Business Scholarship provides support for Indigenous students studying an undergraduate degree at Griffith Business School affected by different types of educational disadvantage (financial hardship, educational disruption, disability or others) that have impacted their ability to achieve their full potential.
Additionally, Scholarship recipients may also be invited to participate in events hosted by KPMG/Griffith to promote the Reconciliation Action Plans and participate in the Indigenous Business Network.
