The Snow Scholarship is one of Australia’s most generous and transformative undergraduate programs, designed predominantly to support students in Canberra and regional or rural NSW who face barriers to higher education.
Each Snow Scholarship is valued at up to $30,000 per year, providing residential, academic and wellbeing support to help you focus on your future:
* on-campus accommodation for up to 52 weeks each year (valued at approx. $15,000)
* an annual stipend of over $9,000 to help with everyday living costs like food, transport and study supplies
* tutoring and academic support, provided on top of your regular course
* health and wellbeing services, including GP visits, psychological counselling, and a gym or sporting membership
* skill-building programs, including mental health first aid training, financial literacy, cultural awareness training, and support to help you land your first job

An ARC funded research scholarship is available with the Mathematics Without Borders research group, within the Mathematical Sciences Institute at the Australian National University.
The successful applicant/s will undertake research on non-Western and Indigenous mathematical knowledge and its transmission. Some fieldwork and archival work may be involved.
For a full-time PhD, MPhil, or Masters by Research program the scholarship stipend is $ 38,154 per year, for up to 3.5 years.
As appropriate, scholarships also may be offered to undergraduate students to undertake an aligned short research project at Honours level or within a PhB program. The scholarship at postgraduate level may be available to an international student who also qualifies for a Tuition Fee Scholarship.

Sharlene is an Aboriginal academic in the UQ Business School. Through this gift, Sharlene seeks to empower Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students to pursue their ambitions within business, innovation, and entrepreneurship, with a preferential focus on students enrolled or intending to enrol within the School of Business. Sharlene seeks to ensure that the financial commitment required to access higher education is not a barrier to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students striving to achieve their goals year after year. By making this donation, Dr Leroy-Dyer will be the first UQ Aboriginal academic to establish an endowed UQ Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander scholarship fund, inspiring others in academia and broader community to follow in her footsteps. The scholarship's name, Ngupaiyiko Yammaliko, means giving back in Awabakal language.
